What is pay-to-rank?
A format that showed up everywhere in August 2026 after outbid.lol went viral. The rules are blunt on purpose.
Pay-to-rank means public order follows money. You list a product or profile, attach a dollar bid, and the board sorts by that bid. Higher payment, higher row. There is no committee, no star rating, and no feed model hiding the price.
Why the format spread
When outbid.lol launched in mid-August 2026, the mechanic was easy to explain in one line: rank is the bid. Founders could see exactly what #1 cost and decide if the attention was worth it. Copycat boards appeared within days because the idea travels faster than a feature roadmap.
What you are actually buying
A visible link on a page people open when the category trends. Clicks, curiosity, maybe a screenshot on X. Sometimes status among other builders who recognise the board. You are not buying guaranteed customers or search rankings.
How Biddr fits
Biddr runs the same mechanic on biddr.lol with $1 entry and Stripe checkout. It is a separate board state from outbid.lol: your bid on one site does not move the other. Pick the board where your audience actually looks.
